Bringing Circular Value Chains Together: Matchmaking and Workshops in Helsinki

The programme gathered again in a lively networking event and a live workshop in Helsinki, bringing together not only the participating companies but also potential new business partners.

The Nordic Circular Design Programme, together with the European Enterprise Network (EEN), organised a matchmaking event to bring a high concentration of circular economy energy into one room. The event took place at the Helsinki Region Chamber of Commerce office on the eve of the workshop day. During the evening, companies such as Konecranes, Embla Medical, Easy-Laser, Exel Composites, Junet Oy, Lindström, VILIKKALA, Digia Plc, SonaGraf Co., Ltd. presented their circular offerings and collaboration needs, followed up by lively one-to-one discussions. This was the first time a matchmaking event was organised as part of the programme, and we were very pleased to see how the Nordic programme companies and others engaged with the opportunity to expand their circular collaboration networks.

In the internal programme workshops, the topics of the Helsinki live module focused on circular change management and testing and prototyping circular concepts. The discussion revolved around the power of shared circular vision, engaging the most important internal and external stakeholders to lead the change, and how to move from planning to action by prototyping and testing the new circular product/service concepts.

Next time, the participating companies will meet each other in May for the Final Showcasing event. The event is arranged in connection with The Circular Conference in Asker, Norway, and is open for anyone interested in circular business development – stay tuned for more information soon!
